I concede on the Buffy Paradox…

November 5, 2008 · 1 Comment

Having been raised in a world where Kristy Swanson WAS “Buffy”, and having been essentially forbidden to watch the like-titled TV series from the beginning when I was married, I never quite got into it, though I LOVE the spin-off series “Angel”.  Go figure…

So, finally, after hearing friends — like friend o’ the blog Kerri over at Shameless TV – rave about the show for years, I find myself openly receptive to starting at the first season with episode 1 to see what all the spaz is about…

Problem is, I don’t own season 1, and I’m not sure I’m interested in wasting $30 to grab season 1 on DVD, not yet knowing whether or not it’s a keeper for me.  So, that leaves me with the ubiquitous netflix, iTunes (ick), or finding a friend that may have it available.  That is, of course, unless you guys have a better idea?

Hey… don’t get down on me… I’m working my butt off.. and the Great American Novel? Not likely, but I’ll be impressed if I can complete the task.

Now, on to more important things: Buffy! Ha! I win! It’s good and you know it! I DO have a few reccomendations on where you can watch it without having to get it in iTunes, because lord knows, it’s just annoyingly costly.

First, you can try Hulu.com. They have a lot of stuff listed up there. I even think they have up to the end of the second season listed there. Also, if you check out TheWB.com, you have to register, but I’m pretty sure they have the entire first season posted up there as well. And all for free. Behold the thought…

So, in offering you my advice and super fantastic suggestions, I sit here (not gloating, because that would be mean…) enjoying your concession… and waiting for the day that you post about how much you LOVE the series. :)

    Good luck. Let me know!
